You donít know whatís missing
You donít know what youíre looking for
You canít find a way out of the grief

This cycle called depression
Your wrists are stained red
Your mind is stained black
Your heart is deteriating
Into the black hole of nothingness
That has formed inside of you

There is nothing that can cure it
There is nothing
That will ever be able to tear the pain out
Nothing will save you
Nothing will love you
Nothing will kill you
And end this eternal pain that youíre going through
Nothing will save you

This cycle called depression
Your wrists are stained red
Your mind is stained black
Your heart is deteriating
Into the black hole of nothingness
That has formed inside of you

The only known cure for this pain is to be put in a box
But you canít do what is necessary
To be in that box

This cycle called depression
Your wrists are stained red
Your mind is stained black
Your heart is deteriating
Into the black hole of nothingness
That has formed inside of you

What is missing?
What is missing?
What is missing?

This cycle called depression
Your wrists are stained red
Your mind is stained black
Your heart is deteriating
Into the black hole of nothingness
That has formed inside of you

What is missing?!

You really describe how it feels the depression... I just was told that I have it because a psicological exam I did, but I have been felling like this for almost two years now, after the results of the exam i told my family about it, they just say : "you aren't depress, don't be silly", I always have a smile on my face and a " positive" actitude but actually the most part of the time the emptiness is tearing me apart, thanks for your poem you did it perfect and more because is very true.

so true.
you may be happy an hour, the next you feel like a dementor is right beside yooou!
You may have 'everything', but THE something is always missing and keeps reminding you.

I completely agree. One time in Engliish class, I was reading "Argous" from the Odessy. I couldn't stop crying. I guess that the something that is missing is my happiness.

extremely emotional and very well written. i like how you made it almost like a song, with that repeating chorus. i think it's something almost everyone suffering through depression can relate to. at least, in the beginning when you still have enough strength to wonder and demand from someone what IS missing. great job

..........As soon as I started to read your poem.... I began to feel something. I think it was understanding. I've been depressed resently and probably will be for a while. Also..... as I kept reading it... I began to cry... I don't know why I cried. I'm still crying. But I'm crying because it's good. It's just something... that is hard :'(

I simply love the poem.
It's beautiful in the sense of the way you have written it. It's just so well written, especially the clever choice of words. Really good. =]

I love the repetition of these lines.
"This cycle called depression
Your wrists are stained red
Your mind is stained black
Your heart is deteriating
Into the black hole of nothingness
That has formed inside of you"

Well done!
